Beanie pattern for extreme cold weather

1. 12ply acrylic yarn 
2. 4.5 mm crochet hook 
3. Measuring tape 
4. Scissors 
5. Needle
6. Stitch marker[optional]

Abbreviations 

Chain - ch

Single crochet - sc

Double crochet - dc

Back loop - bl

Front loop - fl

Starting;  ch 46

Row 1, skip first ch, 5 sc starting from the 2nd ch from the hook, complete the remaining 40 ch with dc

Row 2, ch 2, work dc on the bl [40x], sc on the bl on the 41st stitch [5x]

Row 3, ch 1, 5 sc [bl only], dc 40x [bl only]

Row 4 - 35, repeat row 2 and 3.

Measuring mine its 24 inches when stretched (perfect for adult size)

Joining; 

Row 36, ch , slip stitch on the other side of our work, sc the ends together till the end of the row (work bl on one end and fl on the other end [optional]) 

Next; ch 1 and cut leaving a long tail (long enough to tie the roof)

With needle 🪡 sew round it to close the roof

With your needle, hide every tail before cutting 

Turn to the right side of our beanie and fold the opening
